  1. Leroy and Tyrone aren't really scientist. They just like to impress folk.

  2. I have looked at all the answers to your question. I admit that at does make one think. Being all black would help, would it not? I mean then we all would be the same? Or would we? More than likely we would Find something different. I guess my answer to your question is: WHAT DOES IT MATTER?!?. We seemed to be so concerned about where we started from and when the world will end and never give a thought to what we are doing right now. We are driving ourselves further apart and never truly becoming a "human race". Not a white human or a black human, just human.

  3. The best theory I know of is preceding and succeeding the ice-age there was vast migration. I think our skin-tone and eye-color are adapted to suit whatever environment our ancestors evolved in.

Dark skin and eyes would be ideal for the environment in Africa as well as other hotter and brighter regions. Lighter skin and eyes would work best for darker and colder regions I wager. Lighter skin may absorb more light, or at the very least a high level of skin pigmentation wouldn't be necessary. Lighter eyes are more sensitive, so I imagine they let more light pass through.

I mean let's take the two extremes - white and black. You'll see whites on a very sunny day squinting if they haven't any protection; especially if they have blue or green eyes, while black people do not seem to display the same sensitivity.

On some days when you see black people wearing coats and jackets, you'll see white people in t-shirts. Simple observation says to me that whites are more suited for colder climates, blacks more for hotter climates. It may very well be that blacks have less trouble dealing with heat also, but really there's no way to visually observe that.

  4. Because DNA replication, is a copy machine that only works with 99.9% accuracy...

Add that up for several million years, and we're lucky we're not covered with Pink Polka Dots!

  5. Evolutionary response to local environments. We are not all lactose tolerant, either.

  6. As people migrated to areas farther away from the equator, their skin lightened. The reason for this is that the sun's rays are strongest at the equator (it is the closest we get to the sun) and so people needed more melanin in their skin for protection.

  7. It has something to do with vitamin D production in the body.  In the hot areas the skin needs protection and vitamin D production is not an issue but in colder climes where a person may stay covered from the outdoors then the body had to change and produce a skin that would capture as much sunshine as possible.  If you look under "skin color" in Wikipedia it says that we started off as white because apes are white under dark hair. That would mean that we have been bouncing around between colors for a long time.

  8. white,black,yellow,brown? white=americans-europe

black-africa  yellow=asians  brown=hispanics and thats how everything stays dont worry be happy

  9. because people went though acid like MJ...

  10. Evolution.  We evolved to better fit new environments.  Black people aren't well suited to places like, say, Finland or Iceland (though nowadays some live there).

  11. Let me get this straight.......

So if you come from Africa that automatically makes you black?
