  1. If you are talking about man made global warming, basic physics indicates that a doubling of atmospheric CO2 levels will not cause any perceivable warming, but will only help plant growth. In other words, at roughly 200 PPM CO2 has more than saturated the available window of IR energy that it is capable of reacting with.

  2. I believe it's cyclical and there's nothing we can do about it anyway... and if you lived in northern Illinois, you'd say it doesn't feel like global warming, particulary this harsh winter season.

I have trouble with the theory of global warming.  This winter in China, it was the coldest winter they had in over 100 years.  It was -4 for the temperature in parts of Wisconsin yesterday.  A record low and they have already set records for snow fall.  And if you look back at past weather records for high temps, most of them were set over 20 years ago.

While we should definitely take steps to better ensure the welfare of our planet, it is extremely arrogant to believe we could have done enough since the industrial age began to cause such devastating effects. One only needs to look at the history of our planet to realize this is someone that happens naturally.

    2) I have more immediate concerns to deal with

  6. I'm 30...I have maybe 40 years left at best (bad genes, bad habits).  I've got more pressing concerns than a degree or two difference in the average temperature over that time span, regardless of cause.

    If I can profit off of this naturally occurring phenomenon, I'll play along...all of the proposals thus far, however, will cost me money and freedom.  I'll pass.

    BTW:  If anyone wants to sell global warming, you have GOT to start answering the WIIFMs (What's in it for me).  Too many of us don't react to fear mongering.

For the exact same reasons I wasn't concerned about the immanent  ice age predicted in the 1970's.  Science was wrong on that issue back then along with a myriad of other things such as the global swine flue pandemic that never happened.  Modern science is still wrong more often than not, why choose to believe the doom and gloomers ?

  8. Global warming is a scare tactic placed upon us by those who have their own agenda.  As far as the environment goes, I believe we all need to respect the environment but that starts with people and we don't respect one another.

  9. Has anyone seen the pattern? I haven't had a decent snow(more than like 1 inch) in a few years. I know thats where I live but lots of other places are experienceing this too. What about the endagered species list growing?? and spring starting earlier and animals coming out of hibernation too early and yellowstone not having snow by christmas for the first year in history!!! i think thats climate change

    and if its not real then too bad. i still think we should live a more eco friendly life. IT'S LESS EXPENSIVE, NOT MORE PPL!!

  11. Because this "bumper sticker" mass hysteria  called (Global Warming is BS. Anyone growing up in the 1960s or 70s can tell you that when they went to school, you were told that one day we would have another Ice age.  I have no problem believing that the Earth is polluted and that something has to be done to fix it, but this propaganda that the sky is falling is garbage. (Global Warming) has been turned into some kind of "Cult like religion wear it's followers will believe anything and say anything to get their agenda across. Global Warming hysteria is mostly drumbeat-ed by those on the Left

    Who have a anti Capitalist agenda and want to hurt Americas economy.
