Why arent electric scooters common vehicles on earth?

Brand new basic electric scooter for 2 persons with speed 40 km/h and range 80 kilometers would satisfy most of the average citizens moving needs.

Howcome most of single people western world drive on 1800 kilogram weighted 5 liter gas cars, old trucks and vagons when the gas costs 1.5 euros per liter, trafic jams are everyday problem not to mention parking problems and costs?

parking a scooter is free and charging scooter battery once a day would cost next to nothing?

  1. Electric scooters have limited market in the developing world which constitute 2/3 portion of earth. More over the are less stylish and have limited speed. top seed reached by them is merely 60 km/hr. This drives the youngsters away form it.

I think the scooter is useful but for many people they just want use it. the first reason is because you cant take any thing to work with you. the second reason is that it wold just be to cold for many people. my last reason is that it does not have the versatility that larger vehicles can provide in a descent price range.

    I live live in the U.S. and we have the same problem as you do.

    People don't care,as long as they can get themselves from point"A" to point"B"
