About February this year i got my baby teeth of my canines out, because they werent becoming loose. How long will it take for my canines to grow?

Its been ages!

Whats the procedure if they dont come down? Can the dentists make them come down somehow?

  1. Hi there! No worries! For most people these teeth take a long time to come out. It usually takes even longer if the baby teeth were pulled. Your baby teeth fall out because the adult teeth underneath are pushing them out. So, if that wasn't the case, the adult teeth were even further up in there. I have worked at a dental office for a long time and I have seen it take up to a year for these teeth to erupt. When you go for your next checkup your dentist will evaluate your situation. If he is concerned, there is a procedure that can be performed to help the process along. It is called a surgical exposure, but most kids don't need it. Just be patient and those pointy teeth will come poking through when you least expect it!
