  1. I see the death penilty and life imprisonment for quite a few of those cases.

What on earth do you count as a tougher sentence than those?

  2. Because there are many high class/priority people who often belong to groups which impact heavily upon our society who commit these crimes.

With the lesser penalties, it is easier to hide or pay off these occurrences without the individual effecting the organization.

Many people realize that they have these tendencies and then devote their lives to religious sects where they think that working with god all the time will stop them acting in an unfavorable manner or that god will forgive their sins for thinking or behaving in the manner that they do.

  3. The majority of them go through therapy and recovery programs so the Gov't believes that this can in some way cure the criminal or change the sexual behavior.

I still believe they should be put behind bars because many child predators tend to revert to old habits.

    It's a fact.

  4. Maybe some of them are classed as mentally insane and they go easy on them.

I personally think they should be locked up for life and kept away from society.

  5. thats what i want to know. it makes me sick that these friggin b*st*rds are doing such horrible things to innocent children and the punishment will never be enough to erase the pain, brokenness and scars they've left

  6. Perhaps because the crime is an illness, generally opposed to people just being evil...? Just a thought...

  7. I can't say anything about other countries, in the US the penalites have become stricter. In my state (NJ) a child molester looks at prison time at Avenel. This is a prison for s*x-offenders ONLY. I've often heard that those who abuse/rape/molest children are the ones who get the most severe treatment behind the walls.

Child rapists again, and even lengthlier sentence at Avenel. When each are released they go under MEGAN'S LAW. A national law that had a s*x offender living accross the street and he killed poor Megan.

This law requires that the s*x offender (in this case the child abuser) register in the town that they are living. They must tell their landlord. There picture will be posted on the s*x offender web site the rest of their life. If they do not register, they will go back to prison.

Most are also on probably pretty much the rest of their lives. Since their crime is now so public, people often shun them and they can't get work. One idea floating around was to have s*x offenders have a special sticker that had to go on their car---as to warn children to stay away.

My own opinion and everyone says it's too harsh---if a guy attacks with his p***s then that should be one of the first thing that goes. He doesn't know how to use it right and uses it as a weapon---castrate him. I know guys will think this is way too harsh.

What I'm getting out. The laws, rules and punishment have increasing year after year. I think 30 years ago, an offender may have gotten a slap on the wrist and counseling. But, the sentences are becoming much harsher.

  8. always wondered that myself.  you can get a longer sentence for stealing someone's car than kidnapping, torturing and murdering their child.  i think they work it out in funny legal terms where children haven't contributed to the economy so they're not worth as much.  i don't actually know.
