I know people say they are physically weaker and that have kids at home and they get pregnant. I find it sexist women dont have to sign up for the SSS to....

And hey i did some research and there have been many women to serve in the past and now. Look, france allows women in combat, canada does they have a women major general, new zealand allows women in all positions, and so does norway. women that ask for equality, should get this equality. just as the other countries..

  1. Because they have lower training requirements. If they passed the male standards then sure allow them in combat.

  2. Because women don't like hierachies. And most of them don't like to commit atrocities.

  3. There are a few reasons why they do not allow women in combat.  Contrary to popular belief, it is not because women are physically weaker.  Women have to pass the same tests and must keep up with the men in BCT.  For instance, as a 68W (combat medic), if they sent a female out there and she got hurt, there would be a conflict of interest.  Who do you treat first? The man or the woman?  I say the most severe injury.  But, a man's pride and chivalrous outlook (you become family in the military) would say the woman.  Of course, the medics do carry extra weight, but no doubt there are women who are willing and able to handle it.  Another aspect is cleanliness.  Sometimes its a week before getting back to base when a convoy travels.  What happens if a woman is on her period?  They risk toxic shock syndrome and UTI's from not being able to properly clean themselves.

  4. Federal law. If you want the law changed then start a movement to do it. But, regarding the assignment of women to combat positions you will have to get by the hurdle posed by the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Service (DACOWITS). This is a panel made up of women from civilian industry and the military. They were one of the driving forces behind the ban on assigning women to combat arms positions. So much for the "bonds of sisterhood".

  5. I agree with wulfen. Put them to the same requirements as men and then we will see who gets in. If they make it then sure let them in combat, but I don't think many will. I actually don't think any would.
