  1. I've seen websites selling Stirling cycle motors for farm use. They are used for water pump applications for certain. Not sure about electrical, but it's certainly worth contacting them about it. They DO require a heat differential. And they are generally not very powerful or efficient. That's why they're good for light duty intermittent work like pumps. Use any Search engine for makes and models. Yahoo Search worked for me. Keywords Stirling, pump.

  2. There are sterling engines with real world aplications.  I heard on the history channel that sweeden has a submarine powered by a sterling engine.  The sterling engines really don't get used much commercially due to their high prices.  I don't know of anyone producing a sterling engine at a reasonable price for electricity production though.

  3. sterling motors are great, and There are motors for electrical applications visit http://www.stirlingengine.com/ and get in touch with the sales department, they will send you all the info you need.

  4. California is building a 20,000 dish array of stirling engined solar generators to produce 500MW of electricity.

  5. The only one I could find was

The rest were how to and DIY sites.
