  1. think that both of them got the same result. you can write a letter to god as a prayer as i do. or just pray outloud

  2. I don't have the LORD's mailing address..

    However since the LORD is omniscient and omnipresent he is easily able to hear my prayer.

    The trickier question is why is prayer necessary at all since the LORD already knows what I'd going to say anyway... The LORD knows what I am going to do even before I think of it...

  3. Either way is fine, God will hear you no matter what.

  4. groan.  Prayer is prayer, thing is with journal writing, it may come back to haunt you, if someone gets a hold of it and reads it.

  5. and if i say that i need a job, i might not get a job!

    let me try this...

    i need to marry the president.

    i will let you know the result when it happens so you can support your....???( don't know what word to use)

  6. Personally, I think prayer, meditation and journal-writing are all about the same thing emotionally, so I think it's fine if that's your favorite way of praying...

    Literacy is fairly new to the culture, so the fact that audible prayer has been around longer probably contributes to the fact it is more popularly accepted...

  7. That's a good point, but it would just take more time and effort to write a letter. I'd rather speak directly to God, and "chat" rather than being too formal

    EDIT: Mr Bitter (nice name!) - I asked the same question about why we should need to pray when He knows what we're thinking and the answer I got was that He just enjoys speaking with us. We are His children and enjoys hearing about our day. It also gives us a chance to hear His replies, where I don't know if writing a letter would be able to allow us to do that.

  8. This is a joke question, right?

    Two words: wrong zipcode.
