Why became 335MHz when increased to 2GB 667MHz PC2 5300 from 1GB667MHzPC2 5300+512MHz333MHzPC4200 at 768MHz?

The speed performance became slower. Other component unchanged.

  1. Hi, Its not clear to me what you are saying, but maybe it is that the memory chips you installed are for a slower FSB and are thus pulling the entire speed down to suit their limitations?

  2. You have combined a bunch of RAM sticks. Therefore, your RAM will run at the lowest RAM settings, which is 333MHz. RAM sticks can go lower in clock speeds (MHz), but can not go up. So the better RAM is forced to drop down to 333MHz.
