Why become a Jehovah's Witness?

As JWs on this site have already said that it makes no difference at all as to whether you will survive Armageddon, and it might even make your chances of survival worse, so by their own admission, it is better to avoid becoming a Witness or even finding out about them for that matter. or am I wrong?

There is a difference between being a Jehovah's Witness now and one during the tribulation.

Being one now gives a witness a protective hedge from many of Satan's influences and attacks. But according to Joel the hedge will be removed to test the integrity of the individual as in the case of Job. After we are tested and delivered we are then really called Jehovah's Witnesses (of prophecy) where all foreign gods have been removed.

"I myself have told forth and have saved and have caused it to be heard, when there was among you no strange god. So you are my witnesses," is the utterance of Jehovah, "and I am God.  Also, all the time I am the same One; and there is no one effecting deliverance out of my own hand. I shall get active, and who can turn it back?"

Why worry if we live life as a Christian.

Better to be informed than ignorant, you don't have to become a Jw to be informed about them.

That sounds a lot like trying to catch a chicken.

To improve an athlete's speed, they used to make them chase chickens.  Chickens were fast and bobbed and weaved all over the place.

Humans are supposed to be better than that.

Jehovah has made both the disciple making and warning message at the same time a command for all those serving Him.  We care for our fellow humans, not wanting to see any die.  Or ourselves, by not telling others, we could have their blood on our hands.  So we talk and go to where the people are.

This message is now in almost every land on the planet.  We are doing our best to reach every single person.  

Now those who have died before hearing about Jehovah could not make a choice.  Jehovah allows for these the chance to learn and make the same choice we all must make.  For those alive now, there is no such excuse.  Say what you will about JWs, we have been obeying the God of the Bible when the orders came to preaching and teaching.  Running away shows you already know what we are saying and that too is making a choice.

We even come repeatedly to many in case circumstances have changed as many do.  Something happens in their lives that causes questions only answered by the Bible's knowledge.  Where else are they going to find it?  From the churches?  Hardly.  They have failed to teach the truth of God's Word for centuries.  Why start now?

We think it would be better to survive armageddon because to be alive would mean that you could live on forever, and gradually grow younger each day and healthier until we reach perfection in God's Kingdom New System, when all our needs will be met and any illness we may be suffering will be gone forever and it will be a healthy new world.

And this is good news indeed!!
