Why bonds are made only axial & not co-ordinately?

I need to ask that why bonds are made only through axes but not like (x,y).

  2. Bonds are formed where electrons should "BE" (orbitals), but where an electrons are deficient to satisfy charge distribution around the nuclei. So bonds form through "these" axes. These axes are often NOT along the xyz axes.
