Why boy scouts are hated?

I don't understand, I am an eagle scout and am deeply in scouts. I'm also popular at my school i fit in just fine.

I'm sick of hearing how boy scouts suck because they are anti-homosexual!!!

Would you want a g*y kid in a tent with you?!?!

Scouts teaches a lot of character, and yes there are a lot of nerdy kids in it, but it teaches them maturity and gives them friends.

There are a lot of disabled kids in scouts who need a place to go, this is good for the normal kids to be around because it teaches them maturity.

People always look at the supposedly bad things, what about the good things they do?

If you are an eagle scout, then you have put in a whole lot of work to achieve that ranking.  Ignorant people critisize things they don't know about.  Don't let their hang-ups bother you.  There are tons of knuckleheads in this world, so you might as well get used to it.  Deal with them the best you can, and always strive to do your best.

I don't hate boy scouts :O

It's just a stereotype I bet.

To be honest, neither side is right on this case.

The boy scouts aren't right, g*y people aren't really bad, and I not all of them hate them. We've got bigger problems like the Westboro baptist church and hate ;|.

And some of the g*y people are absolutely not right. My brother's troop doesn't really say anything about homosexuality. They accept everybody and gives everybody the right to advance regardless of who they are.

Remember, anybody would be pissed off knowing they were sleeping around a g*y person. If you don't like it for any other reason other than g*y s*x, that's hate. You have a right to not like it. Just like I have a right to not like girls staring at me all the time.

Just simply, give respect and you'll get it back.

Whether they're g*y, black, have a long nose, or is a martian.
