In early times it was a mystery, because it used to attract the ships/planes metallic objects such as speed-o-meter's mechanical moving parts, or any other parts that were important for cursing of the ships/planes, and due to the distraction caused, often ships/planes get lost/crashed. what are the reasons of such strong electromechanical radiations is still unclear as the ocean is deep in that region and even submarines can not travel that deep, or even if they do, it is unclear how strong the radiations might be as far as they go, and what could be the consequences. Modern ships, and planes do not get distracted from these radiations.
