when you can get one for free from a wireless carrier? The ones on E-Bay even say which carrier the phone will work with so why not just get one from the carrier?

  1. I really can only speak for myself as I recently bought a new one on ebay for $250.  I move around a lot due to work and I never really know where I will be from month to month so I really cannot commit to a wireless carrier for more then the month or two lead-time I am given to change location, possibly to a place with no service.  So basically I can either pay for a phone out-right and have it work on any network and write it off or pay for an early termination fee and have a useless phone and have to go though the whole thing over again.  And yes most providers will sell you just the sim card for nothing or dirt cheap without a contract.

  2. I woul never buy any phone off ebay!

But as far a blackberry, there are some new models that havent hit the US yet, and people are listing them on ebay for far more than 300.

Particularly the new Thunder (Verizon will have it as the storm), and a new world edition.

  3. Considering many phone on Ebay do not have the sim cards with it, you would be wasting your money. Although not many carriers will give you a free blackberry.

  4. There is no reason to buy a Blackberry on Ebay unless you need a replacement.

If you go to wirefly.com you can get a Blackberry Curve 8330 and a Blackberry Pearl through Verizon.

I am not a troll salesman, I actually got a BB curve through Verizon for nothing. As long as you are willing to sign a 2 year contract you can get better phones if you check out an online wireless shop rather than going to a Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, or any other carriers store.

You just need to know where to look.
