Why buying a headphone so expensive?

i never buy a headphone more than 15 dollar. i saw one in the mall for $60. does it worth it? i mean does it sound more clearer and better? what's a good one for $50? thanks

The more expensive ones fit better into your ear thus allowing better sound.

Yes because generally they come with some plastic things to adapt the size of the ears and are sound blocker!!!

The 15 dollar one may break in 3 months or so, but the more expensive ones last MUCH longer and the sound should be better than the 15 dollars ones.

But I do agree, buying headphones are really expensive. I had to buy a new earphone for my ipod and it was 30 bucks, but that was because my dad insisted me on buying the apple ones cause he is scared that the other cheap brands are ganna break faster.
