This would solve our problems. We can have one president who in charge of all foreign relations and one president in charge of domestic issues. Each president has divided responsibilities and can introduce bills to Congress that correspond with their roles.

So President #1: Responsible for Defense, Import-Export, Trade and economic aid

President #2: Education, Agriculture, Housing and Urban Development, Medicare and Medicaid, Social Security, Transportation

And each president can alternate turns in who appoints the next Supreme Court Justice.

Why can't we have this system? Why would it not work better?

  1. One-The Constitution only specify one president in our system.

Two-The Constitution says a full presidential system, meaning one president.

  2. Because multiple rulers don't work out.

Geez, read some ancient history already.

It wouldn't work better because it wouldn't work, period.

  3. Interesting take. However President #2 shouldn't exist. All the duties you listed for President #2 didn't exist until the 1930's. They shouldn't be the responsibility of the Federal Government. That's one of the main problems with the US today. The Feds control too much of the government.

  4. That's a good way of dividing the blame when their administrations mess up, but whatever, a president who isn't a complete tool should be able to adress both, in cooperation with congress, and experts in the particular fields in question

  5. Haha.  It's nice to dream, isn't it.

  6. It would be like putting a big white line down the center of the USA.

  7. That's why we have checks and balances with Congress.
