Seriously, the guy wants to play, so why don't we let him? He is allowed to change his mind, and he still has the skill set.

  1. Well, technically he can't play because at the moment he has no contract.  He chose to retire which suspends the contract he had.  However, the Packers still have his rights.  Practically, he has jacked the Packers around each of the past three seasons with his retire/wont retire bit, they got tired of it, and made a decision to move on with Aaron Rodgers.  And if you think its not about money with Brett, thats its all for the lover of the game, then ask yourself why $25MM would change his heartfelt desire to play which it for several days has stalled his need to show up at camp while he "considers" taking the offer.

  2. He retired and in the months since he retired, the Packers prepared for life without Brett. It's disrespectful of his teammates to be pulling the garage hes pulling...and Brett was my favorite non-Bills player before all this...I've lost a lot of respect for him now.

Besides, he's on the cover of Madden this year...it'd be stupid to want him now...he'll either get hurt or just plain suck

Heck...Tomlinson actually turned down getting on the cover last year to avoid the curse. Vince Young got on instead and look how he did

  3. ummmmmmm lets see. hmmmmmmm maybe its because he RETIRED and decided he wanted to be a sissy and just walk in to take his job back. He has his ring and MVP's move over and sit your a** down. Enjoy retirement brett. This is stupid, just because you have a da*n itch to play the game doesnt give you the right to take someone else job when you've publicaly stated you were done. I dont get what people dont understand about that

  4. cuz thats like you quitting a job and a new employee was waiting in line and he finnaly gets the job and poof hes gotta wait forever for his shot to prove what hes got...

  6. Becaus right now he is retired.Until they reinstate him he is retired.Yes he has a right to change his mind.He does not have the right to tell the team what to do.After he cried on TV he said he wanted to come back.thompson was going to annouce that he was coming back. Before he made that annoucement Brett changed his mind again and said he was going to stay  retired. Then the draft came the Packers went on.They used 2 draft picks on QBs.Had they knowen he was back they would have filled other holes that the team needed filled. They went on without him.Plays were drawen up for a new qb.One who may not posses the same arm at Favre but  who can run  when in trouble. One who does not throw as many INT.Thompson said he was going to do what is best for the Packers.Giving Favre a release is not the Packers best intrest.Getting something for him is.He refuses to talk to the Jets or Tampa Bay.So if he ends up coming to camp I hope they make him practice by himself on a field with only one coach. Then tell him to show up on game day.He did this to himself he knows football is a business. He knows he has a contract. He knows Thompson works for the Packers and will put thier best intrest forword..

  7. i agree wit you they should let him play cuz he could take his team to the superbowl, but some people are just haters

  8. I for one can't believe the Packers don't want him back.  With Favre they would have a chance at getting to the superbowl.  The thing that blows my mind is that Favre has decided to take the money rather than play.  If he really wanted to play he could have forced the Packers to either play him, cut him or make a trade.  I bet the packers would not pay the type of money Favre makes on a backup.

  9. because ted thompson is a jacka.ss and he is completely ruining the packers organization.

  10. Mainly because of Ted Thompson's Ego.

He wants it to be his team & wants Brett to just disappear.

He just jumped for joy when Brett said he would retire.

After all Rogers was his choice. He will play Rogers & hope they win rather than have a better chance of winning with Brett.

If Brett came back it would just look bad when Rogers screwed up & Brett was on the bench.

They want Brett to retire & not play for anyone else. That would take some of the shine off the records that hang in the Packer hall of Fame.

But for the pressure put on Brett to retire so that Ted could move on & put his man in the game. What pressure you ask. They wanted Brett's answer before he was ready to give it. After all that Brett has meant to the Packers & what all the records mean in the Packer hall of fame the right thing to have done was to have kept the job open for Brett as long as he wanted it & still could play.

Sorry Ted but you are a looser.

  11. As it turns out, Brett Favre is a little girl... No one noticed until this past off season when he ritred, changed his mind and then pouted and blamed everyone else for a situation that he created, thus showing everyone who at one time respected him, that he is a spoiled little girl!

  12. because ted thompson and the rest of the orginization are retarted to think that they are better off with aaron rodjers than brett favre
