Why can't Gibson put a Floyd Rose on their guitar ?

edit...K-ron...I didn't know that a heavy metal guitarist was off limits on a Gibson...hmmmm!!!!

  2. That's a good question. I believe Gibson never encourage third party accessories or hardware.

    Besides this, the contour of the Gibson would make it difficult and for this reason, this is why only flat surface guitar have floyd rose.

    But SG Gibson is flat and that would be a good model instead of their crappy bixby.

  3. gibson tailors their guitars to classic hard rock enthusiasts... like aerosmith and led zeppelin. floyd roses are seen more on heavy metal guitars such as the ones you see in stuff like van halen and the newer stuff today.

    there are a few models with floyd rsoes on them. epiphone makes a les paul studio with a floyd rose. but gibson is a classic company with a dont fix it if it aint broke philosophy

    True, some prefer the Floyd Rose, but the humble Bigsby can be used for great things too.
