Question:

Why can't Hamilton accept it calmly when someone overtakes him?

He seems to take it personally when anyone overtakes him on the track no matter how irrelevant it is. I know he won in spectacular style but why did he get into a pointless fight with Trulli after his first pit stop.

Trulli still had to make his pitstop so Hamilton could have waited calmly. Instead he chose to risk a collision before eventually he came to his senses and calmed down.

  1. cuz the world is obviously coming to an end if anyone can catch up with his awesumerific British butt

  2. racing instinct & determination, he backed off after a coupe of corners and won....

  3. I'm not saying what he does is right but he is a born competitor and doesnt like coming off second best which i actually respect

  4. he cannot accept it cause by making his depute with a strong car and by having the impressive results he had last year he thinks that he has proved himself in f1 and that everyone has to just let him pass through any way. important role plays the fact that mclaren gave him more attention that they should by letting down Alonso. even tough i' m not a big Alonso fan i think mclaren should trig him better.

  5. Because he's a sore loser!

  6. I like aggression in F1. And i've seen worse than Hamilton.

IMO shaking fists add a little more emotion into F1.

  7. Yes, he still needs more composure behind the wheel, and learn to 'play the percentages'. He will learn and will get better I am sure. I am a Lewis fan, but I agree this is still an area of weakness at the moment.

  8. i think what he is doing is right...agressiveness in a racecar is what pays of at the end of the day...like consider massa...at hockenheim he wasn't as agressive and hamilton d**n agressive...he didn't even give him room even when they were side by side..forcing him to back off and/or almost out of the track....if hamilton would have been more conservative than i doubt he may have been able to win at germany...every championship winner(ayrton senna a very big example) has been d**n agressive...cause in an racing car getting more points is more important than just finishing a race...and diriving a McLaren or ferrari...winning is more important than just standing beside the winner on the podium....

  9. winner's hate to lose..............all racers hate to be pasted.

  10. If all the drivers drove like this then it would be proper racing, like it used to be before the powers that be started trying to slow the cars down.

Who in their right mind wants to get stuck in a Trulli Train anyway

  11. I've answered questions like this before and I can only answer it again in a similar fashion. If you play the percentages you end up in like being world champion in one of the worst seasons in recent memory.

As much as Alonso is a good driver, he plays the percentages too much which is probably why he's so dreadful at overtaking. The results of this? 2005 and 2006 being the worst two seasons I can personally remember. I'm not a huge Hamilton fan, but it's nice to see at least one driver with a bit of fire in his belly.

Just think, if Massa had that same kind of mentality, to want to be in front all the time, then maybe he wouldn't have give in so easily when Hamilton appeared behind him.

  12. He is a serious hothead.

  13. A similar charge was levelled at Michael Schumacher for passing his brother on the last lap at Monaco a few years ago.  Schumi and Hamilton both wanted to pass right away because they are R-A-C-E-R-S, not taxi drivers.

How would it have been if Hamilton had been second to Piquet by 0.5 seconds - - the same 0.5 seconds he might have given up by waiting a lap for Trulli to pit?

  14. maybe because, on his knowledge, Trulli was on a 1 stop strategy and will not stop anymore untill the checquered flag.

  15. It's called racing - you are supposed to try and overtake - perhaps you've forgotten what F1 is all about...

  16. He lets pressure get to him. He doesn't want to lose any position so he gets aggressive. Sometimes it's best to back off a little but he doesn't get it. Any position lost means more obstacles to winning. He has shown time and again that all he wants tto do is to win an anything that stands in his way... has to get out of it. As a result, it sometimes leads to silly mistakes Like China last year and Canada this year.

He needs to cool down a bit ans be more rational in his approach. If the car in front will be pitting in a lap or two then let it be. It's better than pushing too hard, trying to build up an advantage but to lose it if he crashes or something. But if the car ahead won't pit till more than 5 laps later, by all means overtake. It was a good thing his team advised him to fall back a little in his pursuit of Trulli

  17. .

The tyres only have a specific time frame in which to maximise their full potential, therefore it was vital to get past Trulli to mount an attack on Massa and Piquet.

As soon as he realised Trulli was going to pit, he backed off to reduce graining and then mounted his charge...

    .

  18. So he should be happy to sit behind a midfield car and s***w up his race just to not

p!ss others off? Get in the real world for a minute!

It is called being a COMPETITIVE driver. .

  19. He's such a big baby because he dosent know how race in formula one.

  20. I speculate that he was probably trying to get around because he is much faster and would have been being held up by Trulli. He doesn't care if he takes out other cars as long as he wins as you can see with Massa.

  21. because he wants to show the passion he has however there is a line to draw between passion and a desire to win and looking like a prize you know what, Schumi knew the line most of the time he just had a dig at them in a subtle style in the press after the race lol
