Why can't I add an additional phone line to my account with AT & T?

my family has 4 phones and so I wanted to have a phone too, but when I went to Radioshack, they checked the account and said that the max was 4. And when clicked on the "add an additional line" or something like that, it won't allow..

grrr I want a phone reallllll bad!

  1. It may have something to do with the family plan your family is using. Call customer care or go visit a corporate store and get your answers from them.

    We can guess all day long here .. but thats all it is a guess since we cannot see all the details.

    It sounds like your plan may not support that 5th line ... and some of ATT's older voice plans were only for 3-4 phones... it maybe as simple as changing your plan to accomidate that 5th line.


  2. When your plan expires, switch to Verizon. They allow up to 5 lines on their family plan.
