Why can't I be social?

Question

I'm having trouble communicating with people. I enjoy being with people and I like to hear what they say but I'm just not that good at "talking". I guess when I think about it, it seems most of the time whenever I want to speak, I say something that's either offensive, sketchy, or just plain weird.

I want to talk to people. I want to share with my friends of what I want to say. I'm very kind towards people and I like doing favors for my friends. Am I just not meant to be social? Am I just here to walk the walk not talk the talk? Am I supposed to be the listener or the speaker?

I know ya'll don't know me and I understand if ya'll can't give me a specific answer but what you have read here. What are your thoughts about it and if you have feedback or suggestions, I'll be open for anything ya'll give me.

you could have a disability of some sort. i have aspergers, a very mild case. i used to have problems in social situations, not being able to talk, and just not knowing how to act. try looking aspergers up see if you fit the description, or talk to a therapist,. hopefully this helps. goodluck.

Usually when one is "offensive, sketchy, weird" or even sarcastic it's because you're nervous or you don't know how to act around people. I am like this sometimes. The key to getting over it? Research a myriad of things to talk about like sports, news, the weather, etc...... anything but politics and religion.......ask people questions about themselves but like don't turn it into an interview.  Hi, how are you doing? I'm fine.  And then they might ask you how you are etc.

Practice will help you overcome this.

And listening is a very good quality that a lot of people don't have.

Just be you and enjoy being you.

DIDO.. SOME PEOPLE ARE VERY TALKATIVE SOME ARE JUST SILENT  JUST BE UR SELF AND HANG OUT AT A PARK OR SOMETHING U WILL START TALKIN IN NO TIME.
