I'm planning a cruise for my family of 5, and I understand that a family oceanview stateroom can accomidate up to 6 people. So why when I'm typing in the amount of passengers who will travel does it only allow me to enter 4 people??? Any responses will be very helpful. Thanks.

  1. HI! check for a good price http://riveraramos.vacationmedia.net/ every week you see very good special

  2. if there are no cabins available that fit that many, you can't book.   your other option is to get two smaller cabins.  sometimes this is actually cheaper than one of the suites.

and if you are trying to book an OV.. it is extremely doubtful that it will fit 6 people.  Only the suites do.  also it may stipulate that one  person must be in a crib or pack n play.

  3. Those family rooms are few and far between and are only available on a couple ships. Their reservation system is not set up to accomodate that type of request (because it is so rare)....just call!  They will be able to help you in a snap.

  4. Go to a travel agent.  They can handle it for you.  You got to be careful doing it online.  If you actually made a booking a month or so before departure (depending on cruise line)

you make a mistake on the names, spelling, cabin type, etc. than you may have to pay a penalty to correct it.

If there are any special needs, a travel agent can help.  There are often discounts for certain state residents, seniors, AARP. military, etc. which you may not see on the website.

    So see a travel agent.

  5. Pick up the phone and call them 1-800-327-6700. They are there to help people 24/7.

  6. Hi,  I have cruised with my family several times - 4 of us in 1 stateroom.  Have you done this previously???  If there's any way you can book 2 cabins I would highly recommend it.  Trying to get 4 people in and out of the shower between shore excursion and dinner is excruciatingly painful (not to mention all the luggage!). If for no other reason, try and afford 2 cabins (maybe 1 ocean view and 1 inside across the hall) so you get the 2 bathrooms.  We will be booking this way next time...Good Luck and happy cruising!!

  7. first if you rbookin gfrom a website it may only be set up for four passangers per booking.. so check that... and just  becasue the room says it sleeps 6 doesn't mean that for first and safety reason they will allow you to have 6
