I am running my own personal website (http://www.geocities.com/jaclynglitterpants/thissisit/) and the link to change template isn't showing up in geocities' yahoo 360 blog manager.

  1. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/geociti... for detailed instructions on changing the template. Perhaps you can customize your own template instead with CSS and/or HTML.

Yahoo! 360 has a lot of bugs, and I'm sure that extends to relevant aspects on the Geocities site. Sometimes clearing your browser's cache and cookies help when buttons are missing on Yahoo! 360. Perhaps that will help in this case.

Before clearing cookies, make sure you know your passwords to sites.

    CACHE:

    In Internet Explorer, see http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/usin...

In Firefox, click the "Clear Cache Now" button under Tools > Options > Privacy > Cache.

In Safari, under the Safari menu is an option to Empty Cache; select this.

    COOKIES:

In Firefox, do this under Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > Clear Cookies Now

In Internet Explorer, do this under Tools > Internet Options > General > Browsing History > Delete > Delete Cookies > Yes

In Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu and click Security. Click Show Cookies, then click the option to Remove cookies.

    Then, restart your computer.

Otherwise, note that Y!360 is transitioning into a different social networking platform in the 2nd half of 2008. There has not been a more specific date announced on the blog yet. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 for more details or click the "Yahoo! 360 News" link on the upper right of your 360 space. However, they are no longer fixing bugs related to Y!360, so there's no point in trying to contact them about it.
