Question:

Why can't I change my background (on XP)???

so i right click and go to the desktop tab and i get this.

as u can see everything is disabled except "color" and "customize desktop". i want to be able to set an image as my desktop background again because all i have is just a color. how can i enable those settings again? remember its XP. (i don't know if vista would be different)

  1. im not sure, but I think there is a transparent color in the box.  Try that.  It happened to me once, but I forgot how I fixed it...


  2. Hi: If the image is on your computer that you want as background for your destop, just right click the image and choose ( set as background) and the image will appear as your background. You can enable those other settings by just choosing one and highlight it and the other options will be enabled. have a good day.
