Why can't I connect to the Internet?

Question

We have a wireless network, using Lynksys adapters and routers.

My computer is Compaq Presario.

Can you give me some troubleshooting ideas?

unplug the main cable, and wait 20 seconds then plug it again. try that..

hello   friend  i  had  this  problem  before  about  two  days  ago  

it  have to   do  something  with  your  anit-virus  program  on  the  computor,   its  blocking   the  internet  provider to  not  serve  you,

its   has  some   firewall  up  to  you   need to  get in  your  anit-virus and  allow  the  provider  in  ,  and   disable  some  blockage.  

call the  internet  provider  for  techician  to  guide  you the steps.

We need more information. Such as, does your network use a password to gain access? Or try resetting your router by unplugging it for about ten seconds and then plugging it in again.
