Why can't I create polls in my yahoo group?

I am the owner of a group brought over from the god old "Club" days. Group was passed to me by founder. No Poll option exists to turn on or off.

when an owner selects the choice to hide e-mail addresses, you loose the poll feature since it's based on e-mail addresses to vote. that setting is not reverible either. one of my groups had this happen as well, and what we did was create another group, shut everything down but the polls and disabled posting. the group is only used for polls.

When groups have the option to hide email addresses, they lose the option for polls.  Since all old clubs were converted with the ability to hide email addresses, none of them have polls.  This is because polls require an email address.

If you want to use polls, you'll need to either create a new group or use polls on another website like bravenet.
