Why can't I date anyone my age (mid-20s)?

I'm a man, in my mid-twenties, good-looking, with good career prospects in academia and journalism. Problem is, I can't get a woman who is my peer in age, +/- 5 years, to go out with me. I attract lots of 18-20 year olds and lots of 30+, including several middle-aged women. As it happens, I've always had this problem -- in high school, the junior high and college girls wanted me, and in college, the high school and grad school girls. I'm not complaining per se, but it's becoming worrisome, because I feel that the "girls" aren't mature enough for me to have a real equal relationship, and the "cougars," while very mature, are too old for me to begin a family.

  1. maybe you should go to a nightclub and meet girls your age there

  2. try to hang out in places where you can meet girls your age.  Maybe your giving off the wrong vibe to women your age

  3. I've taken some Psych classes in college and girls look for older and mature men who could provide stability and economic security. Guys tend to look for younger women to insure that their offspring will be strong and healthy. You sound like a good person; maybe you should try going out to events or clubs aimed towards people your age. I guess it's bothering you since you are approaching the age where you need to find a woman and settle down soon. But try not to worry so much. People these days, especially guys, wait even in their early thirties. Anyway, you can always try online dating/partner compatibility tests or something. Most importantly, don't go out "looking" for a girl. In due time, I'm sure you'll find the perfect woman :) Good luck and don't worry too much about it.

  4. Just wait.

    Go for the younger ones.
