Why can't I delete things off my PS2 memory card?

I've opened up my browser and got to the screen where all the game data icons are but now I can't select or move anything to delete data. The arrows are not responding, not the joystick, not X, square or triangle. Just when I push the right or down arrow does a brief flash of "Your system configuration" comes up but it doesn't let me do anything! Help I need to delete stuff to make room for my new game!

click on the browser it will show you a memory card icon ok click on it in it will take you to where all your game icons got this so far then just click on the game you want to delete when this happens it will either say copy are delete use your d-pad to go down to delete your game icon when this happens it will ask you yes are no to delete your game hope this helps you out alot ok :) ava06
