Why can't I download messenger?

Question

I just recently had to restore my laptop. I lost everything, and I just tried downloading AIM and Yahoo Messenger, and neither worked. It says something about how it wouldn't go through, then it says "click ok to terminate the program" Why? It still downloads, but I can't open either. What do I do?

Your Aim and Yahoo are in your download folder you have to double click them for them to go on net and finish installing

The best way for repairing that is to reformat your Laptop and try to reinstall those programs that wont install, because sometimes restoring your laptop to last system restore point might get your files,registries,programs, etc. unstable...
