Why can't I download torrents?

I am running windows vista on my laptop and I recently installed bittorrent in hopes to download torrents. I get into the sites, click on what I want to download, and the page just never loads. I have tried vuze and other things and they just don't work. I have also tried turning off my firewall. Please help me because I want to download torrents but they won't load into bittorrent and i've tried many different sites

goto torrentz.com>type in what u want>check its status(no. of seeds n peers)>download the torrent file>download n install utorrent(its d best)>add ur torrent file>start download

if this dosent work , the torrent is either dead or ur internet provider has blocked torrent trackers

There is one vital thing you must be aware of with Vista: running under different contexts.

Is it true that your TORRENT client needs to be given permissions? Do you see that "Allow" / "Cancel" Vista-specific dialog when you start it?

If yes, then you will not be able to load torrents directly from the browser, but will have to manually save them and manually open them afterwards from BitTorrent (or whatever client you will have).

This happens because your browser and your torrent client are working under two different permission contexts (BitTorrent in administrative, browser in restricted).

The normal and usual sollution for this would be to get your TORRENT client to install under a folder of your own making, NOT "Program Files (x86)".

This is the most common problem with TORRENT clients, as the vast majority aren't optimized for Windows Vista.

The torrents are probably dead, and bittorent isnt verry good. Try utorrent, bitlord, or bitcomet. (preferabley Utorrent) They're the best ! And also vista doesnt make anydiffrence, unless the program your running doesnt support Vista, but it should do!
