Why can't I erase any songs off of my iTouch?

I bought an iTouch a little while ago, and I synced it to my library, which already has songs on it. The songs under my 'iTouch folder' that I had just synced are locked for some reason, and I can't move or delete them. This has never happened with any of my previous iPods.

I returned that iTouch and bought another one, to see if it was just that one that was flawed, but the new one that I bought seems to do the same exact thing.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Can you help me with it?

Go to the little status page of your itouch (when you click it after you put it in on the itunes program). Check and see if you have put on the manual option to delete musics instead of simply synced.
