Have some seeds sent over to you and plant a small garden. You could plant a few green bean seeds about every three weeks and keep yourself in fresh green beans all year, and let a few beans mature to produce your own future seed.. Also try the local farmers markets and look for green beans and get some seed from the farmer. It could be that they are growing them under a name that you are not familiar with.
