Why can't I find my group when I search under groups?

Question

I created a yahoo group a few days ago. I've been able post on it and add pictures, but when I search for it under groups I can not find it. I am currently the only member in my group and I want the group to show up so that others can join. How can I change this?

check management- under group settings click Description & Appearance - Description (Edit) <-- click the edit- scroll to listing type and be sure it is checked to list, if it isn't, check and click save changes.

if it was checked, it is taking longer for groups to list in the directory than normal, probably due to glitches. if it's an adult listing, it wont ever show up in the directory.

It’ll get listed in the Yahoo! Groups directory within a few days, in the category that you select during the set-up process

But if it is an adult group, it will not get listed in the directory.

Did you click the option that makes the group appear in the the groups directory?  If not, go back to the group home page and edit its settings.
