When I dream about soaring... I have to jump and glide across roof tops... I can never "Fly". and when I wake up, my legs hurt because I really need all my strenght to push off the roof tops... But if I'm completely asleep, why can't I fly like normal people in their dreams?

  1. I don't think we are meant to control our dreams. I flew once in my dream but I did not will it. I think our sub-conscious is trying to tell us something when we dream.. it can't be forced. So just let whatever dream comes. Just enjoy the dreams you have. I think we get what we need for now. I don't think it is normal for people to fly in dreams either, if that is any help at all.

  2. Because you need to be thinking about flying the moment you fall asleep.

  3. i mean i have never flown in my dreams

    there is no "normal" dream

  4. Try lucid dreaming, you can control your dreams.

  5. I am the same way, I can never really 'fly' in my dreams either but as far as your legs hurting, you probably have low levels of this certain chemical in your body. I don't remember exactly what it is but its what keeps us from acting out our dreams while we sleep and what causes some people to feel paralyzed when they first wake up. It is common for sleepwalkers to have low levels of this chemical and so they do, in fact, move while asleep. In your dream, you are telling your legs to push off as hard as you can off the rooftops in order to glide, but, because you are in bed and not actually jumping, your legs move and probably kick while your asleep, causing them to hurt in the morning.

  6. Don't know

  7. It will come to you when you least expect it I was  talking about the perfect kiss and it happened in my dreams.

  8. drink lots of warm milk. you can control your dreams

  9. I'm the same way. "Flying" is a relative term. If you are jumping around in your dreams Hulk style I think thats still pretty close to flying. It's all symbolic of freedom, so traveling great distances in a single bound still fits nicely in there.

  10. go to sleep thinking about flying properly

just relax, do not stress out about it and if you keep it at the back of your mind, it may happen.

However, it may never happen so don't get too obsessed.

  11. put an eagle feather under your pillow.

It's hard to soar like an eagle when you live with turkeys!
