  1. Unless your medical issues require and accommodation from your potential employer, there isn't a need to mention it.

In fact, it's illegal for them to question your medical status.

  2. sorry to hear. i dont have a job either. but dont give up and good luck!

  3. I'm going through the same thing. Blame Bush. It's all his fault.

You have to blame someone... but seriously. The economy is doing horrible and there aren't that many jobs at the moment. Oh snap! I'm having a flashback!

  4. You don't say if you've hit the pavement.  Gone directly to the places where you'd like to work.  My 14 year old daughter wanted to work at a specific place.  She sent a letter of introduction, then a couple of days later she (and mom) went to visit with the owner/manager.

She's been working there since the beginning of July.

If you have a local Job Service, that's what they are known here, it's a state agency that helps people find jobs. Do that, it doesn't cost you anything and they can be a great help.

Ask friends and people you know if they know of job openings or to let people know you are looking.  Make sure that you are trained for the jobs you are applying for.

    Good luck

  5. Right now there are a lot of people looking for work. Unemployment is at nearly 6%. I have been looking since March with no luck.Every day another company announces layoffs. It's not you, it's the economy.

  6. What kind of medical issues?  Are you qualified for any of the jobs you've been applying for?

  7. A big issue that I have noticed with those that just throw resumes online or submit them through these online sites is that they don't follow up.  Keep track of the companies you submit resumes to and contact the HR managers a couple days later to make sure your resume and skills are actually seen.

These companies get hundreds of responses from online postings, you have to make yours stand out.

  8. What type of job are you looking for?  Monster suck from what I hear.  I know lots of f & b sites.  I actually just had an great interview with a co. that i found online.  BTW you don't have to tell them about anything medical, it is against the law.
