Why can't I get into some websites?

I can get on yahoo, Google, MySpace, YouTube and others but I can't get into Wikipedia, hotmail and a few other random sites.

With internet explorer I get this message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and it says that I may have a connection problem or the website is having problems. Firefox also failed to get me into the same sites.

A few days ago my computer was fine and I could go on any site I wanted but now I can't. I haven’t downloaded anything since then and I used system recover but that didn't help. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Did you try with online proxy servers? Go to proxyroll.com and try with some proxies there if they work definitely your ISP block those sites . but it can't happen any Isp allow to log in to sites like wikipedia Did you try with opera? or newly you installed firewall software like outposts? or your check your antivirus if it provided the firewall facility.

Whats your ISP? If you are using other ppl ISP that ISP might block some websites to prevent misuse of bandwidth. I'm using wireless and my wireless provider block some of the websites such as YouTube and MySpace because the wi-fi is not intended for such uses (coz its for educational purposes only).

Simply put, ask your ISP about this problem they will help to configure it.
