I came back from 3 weeks of excercise and now for the past 3 days I haven't been wanting to work out. I have a goal for next month, but it seems almost hard to accomplish it because I'm just not in the mood to work out. I feel extremly guilty and sometimes ask myself 'If I dont work out today, then when will I ever workout'

Is there a way to truly get motivitated?

  1. Don't wait to get motivated ...do like the ad says and "just do it"

Force yourself to start... even it it's only for 15 minutes at a time.

  2. I've been there too.  You have to schedule a time and stick to it, just start!  I know I actually feel better if I work out, and I feel like I've accomplished something.  Try to focus on the way you look and feel afterwards, and what exercise does for you.

Also, try to make it fun.  Are you doing the same exercises all the time?  Can you watch a favorite program or movie and workout during that time?  Can you join a group for running, tennis, or anything you like to do?  Then you'll have others around and won't get bored.  Also, try setting a goal that you have to train for.  I'm not sure what type of exercise you do, but some goals could include - running a 10K, hiking a difficult trail, biking in a road race, etc. If you have to work up to something - there's motivation in that.
