I'm 6ft 2 and 21 years old. I weigh about 175. I have such little fat covering my stomach but I can't get rid of it. My stomach is flat and looks as good as it can look with out being able to see the muscle. I eat about 2300 cals a day. Dose it sound normal to eat 2000 calories or less at my height and age?

  1. You need to have really low body fat percentage levels to show your abs. I would recommend eating more calories, do weight lifting for a while to build more muscle, when you are happy that you are muscular enough (especially your stomach muscles, abs, etc.) then start to "cut". Easiest way to lose fat is through diet, but that doesn't mean eating nothing. It will involve lowering your overall calories, and especially eating less carbs, but I would strongly recommend you see a professional or maybe join a good sports forum with knowledgeable members who can help you.

I recommend you use diet to lose fat, cardio actually burns muscle with fat, but you don't want to do that... have you ever wondered why runners are so skinny with barely any muscle?

    To answer your update:

I think 2000 calories is low for your height/weight and the amount of exercise you are doing, but it completely depends on your aim. If you want to lose weight, then around 2000 calories is probably right. If you want to gain more muscle, 3000 calories should be the minimum.

  2. lol i got that problem, my abs are strong but a little fat covers them, u can still see them, you need to do some cardio and burn the fat
