Why can't I get the Sims 2 body-shop to work?

I have the Sims 2 for my PC. I would really like to try the body-shop. For some reason I cannot get it to open. When I double click it my computers says that there is a problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Nothing I have tried works. Any suggestions?

if you have many expansion packs, are you trying to load the body shop version from one of your older EPs?  Sometimes Body Shop will automatically update when you install a new EP, but not always.  If you have a piece of incompatible custom content, especially a skin tone, BodyShop will not load.
