Why can't I go to sleep?

I'm a 13 going on 14 year old boy that never seems to get drowsy.

  1. you're thinking too much and on the computer too much.

    if you just lay in bed and close your eyes and think about sleep and only sleep, you should fall asleep soon.  


  2. Maybe you have a lot on your mind. Just try to relax more, and ease up on the t.v. and videogames before bed.

  3. Masurbation always helps you relax before sleep and mkes sleep easier to achieve

  4. i heard that drinking milk helps you go to bed easier,

    also, eat dinner 3 hrs b4 bedtime,

    when you eat directly b4 bedtime, it makes it more difficult..(sometimes) and it also makes it hard to wake up in the morning

    or you should try waking up early everyday and keep yourself active during the day..try this until you get sleepy early..

    i cant sleep either..i have more energy @ night, like a hamster

    but thats cuz i dont even try to ( which i should)

  5. do u.. ever.. take like sleeps. during the day.. like after school. if so.. try not to and u'll be sleepy at night... ummm if not... just try having a warm glass of milk. works :)

  6. When I was 14 I had problems sleeping too. Ask your parents to contact the doctor as it may be the byproduct of another problem.

  7. I often have the same thing. Try methods of relaxing; exercise helps. Play sports etc, starring at a computer screen won't help you. Relax! Fantasing before you go to sleep, somehow works wonders.

  8. well then if you don't get drowsy then maybe your like a new bread and you don't need as much sleep as the rest of us

  11. Read book or listen to classical music.

  12. - do physical exercise during the day

    - do you have lots of problems you think about? Maybe you should consider talking to someone you trust about them.

    - if you can't talk about them, write about them and keep your diary in a safe place

    - have you had lots of trauma in your life? If you do, you should consult a doctor or a shrink and have therapy. The trauma in your subconscious weighs you down although you may not consciously think about it.
