Why can't I hear sound on my camera?

When I record stuff on my camera(sony cybershot dsc-s700) I can not hear it. but when i record it says at the bottom record with sound and i dont know what to do can someone help?

make sure the volume is turned up! otherwise it's just broken..

From page 15 of your Instruction Manual...

"You cannot listen to the audio with this camera when a movie is played back. To listen to the audio, connect with external outputs such as a TV, a speaker, etc."

So, you should try the above...or transfer the movie to your computer to hear the audio.
