Why can't I kung fu flip in gears of wars? I use to be able to but now I just levitate and then climb forward?

Questions says it all. I was great at kung fu flipping. On Gears of wars. Why Can't I flip now? I levitate and then my guy climbs forward? Whats going on? Any times?
