Why can't I open a new tab any longer?

System stalls out when I try to open a new tab. I have downloaded and installed Windows updates but that hasn't fixed the problem.

Try checking your browser preferences. Do you have any default settings for when you select a new tab? If you have your browser set to go to a specific page when you open a new tab, it might be the page itself that is causing the crashing. I have seen it before with my own computer sometimes. If the web page is a pdf or tries to load some other program, your browser can completely stall. Try setting it to load an empty page.

If that isn't it, I would check the rest of your tab settings in your preferences and see if there is something there that might be causing your browser stall.
