Why can't I open my compressed zipped folder?

I have just downloaded a program and it's in a compressed zipped folder. But whenever I try to open it it comes up saying that its unable to open it and when I try to extract the files it says it's empty (which it's not).

  1. The file is corrupt and unusable.

    P.S.  Nothing good has ever come of programs from zip files.


  2. Maybe the file is encrpyted of the file being zipped is corrupted.

    download again from another source.
