Why can't I pick up Brett Favre in my Fantasy Football league?

Does anyone know if it is possible yet for someone to pick up Brett Favre becaue he is making the return to the NFL? I am playing in a Yahoo league and NEED him because my current QB is Donovan Mcnabb who is injury proned!

Green Bay in till he is released and then on another team

He's not yet available in the Yahoo leagues however he is available in the ESPN leagues

Because the people who controll the leauge don't know whether or not Brett Favre is playing or not!

He has to be reinstated before you would be able to choose him.

Well, he was on the reserved/retired list, so he was removed from the Yahoo player pool.

It's unlikely they will add him until it becomes official that he is trade/released or rejoins the Packers.

His $12.8 million salary is a real probem, so you'll have to wait like the rest of us.

Also note, than when he is added, it will require a waiver claim to select him.  He will not be a free agent (FA).  The highest waiver priority putting a claim in on him will get him.

Probably because he is not actively instated. He would need to file for reinstation with Commissioner Goodell.

Cause he is not coming back.  He says he is just for some attention.  He used to be my fav. but now i see he is all about the attention

I am not sure but maybe because he hasn't officialy retired or came back so thats the scoop
