Question:

Why can't I play GTA San Andreas?

I recently bought GTA San Andreas for my PC, and I installed everything that the game requires including DirectX 9.0, but when I try to play it, it says that theres an error and it can't be opened and the only two buttons I can choose is "Send Error Report" and "Don't Send".

I read the minimum requirements of the game and it says that I need a minimum of 512 MB of RAM and a 1GHz Intel Pentium. I have a Intel Pentium 4 but only 256 MB of RAM on my PC. As soon as I click the icon, the error report windows open, and my game doesn't even open at all.

Then I tried it on my laptop which has 512 MB or RAM and the 1 GHz Intel Pentium which are the minimum requirements, and I installed everything. The autoplay works, credits work, but as soon as its done with credits and as it loads the start menu, the same error report window opens and my game shuts itself.

What do you think is keeping my PC and my laptop from running these games properly and what do I need to do to play these games? (Please, don't give me an answer like buy a new or better computer.) Is it the lack of RAM? Or is it something else?

  2. The GHz and the RAM are not the only requirements! There are a lot of others!

Go to this website, choose the game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" and click "Can You Run it?" to check if your computer have the minimum requirements.

The results of the scan will tell you if you got the minimum requirements for the game, or what is wrong with the computer - in case you don't have the minimum requirements.

  3. 1) Get more RAM. You will definitely need it in today's gaming world.

    2) Make sure your graphics card meets the standards of the game.

Also never trust what the game's minimum requirements are. The companies intentionally make them low so more people will buy the games, thinking they will work. Rather check on independent review sites.

  4. what's ur GFX card?

  5. It's all the RAM. The more of that bloody property your computer has, the more content of GTA:SA 4 PC can be loaded.
