Why can't I record tv shows using my RCA DVR any more?

Last week I had no problem recording, but when I tried to record Medium last night I got an error message stating it was protected material. Can you no longer record shows to watch at a later time?

  1. Do you have to have a subscription? With TIVO you do and it has to be up to date -

    hmmm- is it just certain shows then?
