I know that sometimes that happens, but I remember a dream like once a month sometimes 2 months. Do you have any advice on how to remember them? Like something i can do before I sleep...things i shouldn't do. I do have short term memory and a very small attention spand, lol. Thank you =]

  1. Another simple tip to do

is to say over and over again in your head I will remember my dream untill you fall asleep

    I learned online!

I've told all my friends about it.

It really helps, but what i've read the number 1 reason you aren't remembering them is because your a heavy sleeper.

So, make sure you are getting enough sleep..

  2. the best way to start recalling your dreams is to start writing about them or recording what you remember on a little tape recorder immediately after you wake.  The longer you're awake and the more movement and activity your mind goes through while you're awake, the more you'll forget about your dream.  I've read that if you lay in bed right when you wake up and start writing while still in the same position as when you  woke up, you'll remember some of it and then turning on your side after you can't remember anything else from the dream, start writing again.  This stuff is easy to find out on the internet.  Try looking at the steps you have to take to induce lucid dreaming.  I'm really interested in dreams and have tested these methods which led to great results.

  3. i have a short term memory too! :D

    well what are the odds

    InstructionsDifficulty: Moderately Easy

    Things You’ll Need:

    Journal

    Cassette Tape Recorders

    Herbal Teas

    Bubble Baths

    Music For Zen Meditation

    Relaxing CDs

Step1Relax before bed. Take a hot bath with aromatherapy soaps, drink herbal tea, listen to meditation tapes - whatever works best for you.

Step2Think about and write down important things on your mind. Write down subjects you also would like to dream about.

Step3Keep those items in mind when you get into bed but don't concentrate too hard. That might keep you awake.

Step4Tell yourself that you will remember your dream. Repeat "I will remember my dream" several times to yourself as you drift off to sleep.

Step5Wake up naturally, if possible, without an alarm clock. Try not to move until you can recall your dream from the night before.

Step6Record your dream before you get out of bed. Keep a journal and pen or tape recorder by your bedside for easy access.

    Tips & Warnings

If you awaken in the middle of the night, write down your dream. You won't remember it by morning.

Avoid alcohol before you go to bed. It reduces your REM sleep time, the phase of sleep when you dream.

Get adequate sleep. You sleep very deeply when you're overtired; that makes remembering dreams less likely.

Take vitamin B-6 (50-200mg) about a half hour before you go to sleep. Your dreams will become more vivid, colorful and lucid. Also melatonin can produce more intense and meaningful dreams.

    my pleasure! :D

  4. If you get waken up really fast and surprising like, you won't remember a thing. But if you sleep in one morning and wake up by yourself you'll definitely remember your dream, because you'll be able to think about it as you wake up.

  5. Its because of your sleep cycle. There are different phases of sleep.  REM sleep is when you dream.  When you are in REM phase, you don't wake up unless an outside force moves you to.  The other phases, you wake up on your own.  in REM you are dependent on the real world to wake you up.  If you don't wake up during a dream, while you are still in REM, you wont remember it, because of interference from your brain patterns in the other phases of sleep.

Its confusing I know but we learned about it in my psychology class last semester.

  6. dreams last only a few seconds but seem forever when you sleep!

so no one really can remember the dream!
