Why can't I repair my windows xp?

Question

I inserted the cd and booted from cd, a bleu screen appeared.

first of all i pressed ENTER.

Then F8

After pressing F8 I should be able to see also a blue screen where I can press R to repair.

but unfortunately after I pressed F8, all my drives appeared, and they said if I want to install windows xp press ENTER.

I pressed ENTER and arrived to the FORMAT screen which I DO NOT WANT.

I just want to repair my windows. I used to do it but I don't know why can't I do it now.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This  problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . Try pressing 'r'  anyway or restart your computer until the repair screen appears.
