Question:

Why can't I see any images/pictures in people's posted messages?

Recently I joined a group, and have been approved by the owner/moderator (it did it automatically when I joined). I am using the 'Individual Email' option for the message delivery. I can access the files and photos areas of the site with no problems. However when the owner posts new messages the messages sometimes contain images/pictures, and when I enter/read the post I can never see any images. All it shows is a box with 'Attachment(not stored)', then the filename, and then 'Type: image/jpeg'. Can anyone help? Is there a setting I need to adjust somewhere? Do I need to post messages myself to view images?

Any help will be most appreciated, thanks.

  1. The attachments are not stored in Yahoo Groups any more. This was done due to storage reasons. You can only receive them if you get the e-mails through individual mail preferences.

  2. they are not stored on the groups archives as stated. you have to view them with individual mail settings and open them in your e-mail. if you're still not seeing htem in e-mail, look at your own mail settings.
